Eight Thematic Sectors

NAP primarily focuses on eight priority sectors and different sub sectors

National Adaptation Plan

“ Bangladesh is preparing NAP as a means of identifying " medium and long term adaptation need & developing and implementing strategies and programs to address those needs.

Three key aspectes

  • Formulate the Bangladesh NAP
  • Ensure the climate change adaptation is mainstreamed into the national planning process
  • Building transformative capacity, institutional strengthening and enhanced financing

Vision and Goals of NAP

Key Consideration for setting the Vision and Goals are

The promotion of green growth strategies, backed by sustainable nature-based solutions for balancing economic growth and environmental sustainability, has been sought as a means of ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA).

Reducing climate risks and vulnerability through effective adaptation strategies for fostering a resilient society, ecosystem and stimulating sustainable economic growth

Vision of NAP

Key Adaptation Strattegies of NAP in nutshell- Total 6 Goals, 22 Strategic actions and 26 outcomes against strategic action
